On the Waterfront

December 22, 2008 by odysseyist

Night On The Waterfront

If entertainment & relaxation are what you need, then head on down this way, the Marlon Brando kind of place. If you happen to be on the prowl for something delectable, then sit back and relax to be pampered with the galore of food to choose from. It is the in-place for both the locals and visitors alike. Take a leisurely stroll along the esplanade during the twilight hour to watch the sun go down and blow your mind away. Entertainment & grubs are here to be had, be it fun or food galore, you can have it all so long as your wallet is full of dosh. As for me, I’d rather keep my dosh in my pocket to see another day. Then again, the missus would rather blow it all away. Now scrubs are what we are having. A night of pleasure turns into a day of hard slosh. No regret, though! The sun will sure rise again, comes another day. So, fun-loving guys and gals, come on down!

Here is a selection of food/entertainment joints in & around the Waterfront.

Restaurants

Kohinoor North Indian Restaurant- the only North Indian restaurant in KK city. Food served is piping hot, unlike other local Indian restaurants. Prices are at upscale-dining price range.

The Aussie Barbeque & Bar- as the name implies, everything Aussie is served here. Pricey is the name, Barbie is the food.

Toscani’s- the Italian & Spanish restaurant serving pizza, pasta and seafood platters.

BarSu- a new restaurant on the block replacing the former Atlantis restaurant. A mish-mash of a restaurant serving Italian & Thai cuisines.

Grand Port View Seafood Restaurant- a popular restaurant that serves anything related to the sea. Be prepared to splash out for the mouth-watering dishes. An arm and a leg will come your way.

Pubs and Entertainment

The Loft-  accommodation not included, apparently. I wasn’t to know that.

Cock & Bull- if you fancy a bit of non-sensical chit-chat.

The Shamrock Irish Bar- pissed as a fart I was!

Novus Karaoke Lounge- sing your heart out and nobody cares.

BED (Best Entertainment Destination)- a misnomer this place is. I expected a good night kip but they blasted the music away to keep me on my toes. Dance may be the more appropriate name.

The Coffe Bean-  needs no introduction

To Get There

Get to the Warisan Square, it’s right facing the shopping mall.
