Local Film Box Office Nosedives- this school holiday season has not been too kind on the local filmmakers according to a local daily, New Straits Times. Four out of the seven films scheduled to be released this December have been doing poorly at the local cinemas.
Malaysia On Discovery Channel- five Malaysian documentary stories are to be shown on the Discovery Channel next year, as reported in the NST press. First off will be on sepak takraw- Malaysian kicking version of volleyball, followed by honey harvesting, jossstick maker, Bajau people and a masseuse.

Tamparuli- Colonial-era shop units burnt down- no caualty reported. The shop units are thought to be around 50 years old built during the colonial administration. There goes another Sabah’s historical building.
